ELLSWORTH – Kevin Gray’s RBI triple to right-center snapped a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the sixth and he scored an insurance run on an ensuing throwing error Tuesday as Waldo-Knox posted a 4-2 Zone 1 American Legion baseball win over Trenton.

Pasco Grove hurled 5 2/3 innings of three-hit, two-run baseball before Ben Cowan came on to pick up the win in relief with 1 1/3 innings of no-hit, three-strikeout ball.

Grove had three singles for the winners while Blake Alley singled twice for Trenton. Chris Sargent tied the game for Trenton with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth.

Travis Tripp hurled a six-hit complete-game for Trenton.

Lincoln 14, Orono 7

At Lincoln, Jeremy Ham had a five-hit night, collecting a double and four singles and driving in two runs to pace Lincoln past Orono.

Nate Dow had a pair of singles and two RBIs and Brody Artes had a two-run single.

Chris Rand had a three-run homer for Orono while Jeff Miller (1 RBI) and Brad Goody each singled twice.

Houlton-Woodstock 2, Bangor 1

At Woodstock, New Brunswick, Matt Day pitched a two-hitter, striking out five batters, to pace Houlton-Woodstock.

Mike Lenentine smacked a single to drive in the winning run in the sixth inning.

Billy Chapman pitched a complete game for Bangor.

Calais 13, Sebasticook 9

At Calais, Ben Maloney’s three-run home run in the sixth inning capped a back-and-forth game and gave the Suns a victory over Sebasticook.

Maloney also tripled for Calais. Jeff Dougherty had a triple and two singles while James MacDonald had a triple and a double.

Phil Hendrick doubled and singled and Josh Vile singled twice for the Storm.
