ORONO – Joe Footer racked up eight RBIs on two grand slams to spark Calais to a 16-10 win over Orono in Zone 1 American Legion action Wednesday evening.

James Ramsdell doubled and singled for the Suns, who scored only five earned runs.

Dusty Thomas and Ryan Thibodeau each smacked a two-run homer for the Twins. Bo Thomas drove in three runs on two doubles. Ryan Levesque singled twice with two RBIs and Mike Merritt hit a double and two singles with an RBI.

At Brewer, Pete Saunders’ two-out single plated Ryan Snell and lifted Brewer to the win.

Snell finished with a double and an RBI. Bill Kane hit an RBI single and Saunders added a single. Darren Stover pitched a scoreless seventh for the save.

Nate Cox led Blue Hill with two singles and three RBIs.
