ORONO – University of Maine women’s ice hockey head coach, Rick Filighera, announced that Lainie Ann Wintrup was hired as an assistant.
Wintrup was head coach of the Vincent Massey Collegiate female hockey team from 1999-2001. She graduated from the National Coaching Institute (NCI) in Manitoba with a diploma in high Performance Coaching. She was also a student coach (1999-2001) for Brandon University’s men’s ice hockey team.
