RANGELEY – The Wilhelm Reich Museum will sponsor a program on “Owls” with Tom Hodgeman with the “Bird Group” of the wildlife division of the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife of Bangor from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 21.

Participants will meet at the Conference Building, where slides of owls will be shown and discussed along with audio owl sounds. The group then will proceed to the trails to search for owls and owl signs.

Hodgeman, a biologist specializing in nongame birds, studies the status of owls and their needs through volunteers. Those interested in participating in his program will have the opportunity to speak with him after the presentation.

All programs are free of charge.

Visitors are encouraged to visit the observatory building, which details the life and work of Wilhelm Reich, whose interest in the natural environment led to the introduction of the Natural Science Program in 1989. The observatory is open 1-5 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday, in July and August. There is a $4 charge for those over 12 years of age.

For information, call 864-3443.
