ORONO – University of Maine senior Erica Sobel was named to the College Softball All-American Team by the Jewish Sports Review. Sobel, who played shortstop for Maine, was named to the team at third base.

Sobel started all 57 games for the Black Bears in 2002 and served as tri-captain. She led the team in batting average, runs, RBIs, and doubles. She also earned All-America East Team honors and was named America East Player of the week during the final week of the regular season.
