The Maine Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association will hold its annual summer business meeting Friday at Miller’s Restaurant in Bangor beginning at 1 p.m.

The organization will present a $3,000 scholarship to Anne Cronin of Lisbon, a veterinary student at the University of Pennsylvania. Guest speaker Tom B. Federle is expected to discuss a number of topics including the future of harness racing in Maine and the future of gambling in the state.
