BEDFORD, N.H. – Biddeford-Saco Country Club’s Scott Dewitt shot a 71 in Wednesday’s second round of the New England Amateur Championship, good enough to stand tied for 14th overall and make the cut for Thursday’s third round.

Dewitt recorded a 72 Tuesday for a two-round total of 143. The top 40 finishers plus ties made the cut.

Samuel Marzenell (73-71-144), who also plays out of Biddeford-Saco Country Club, finished the day in a tie for 19th. Springbrook’s Blake Eldridge is tied for 26th and Falmouth’s Gary Manoogian is tied for 32nd.

Rob Oppenheim of Indian Ridge Country Club in Massachusetts is the leader with a 67-65-132.
