RANDOLPH – Speed and alcohol were likely factors in a one-car accident that killed a man from Hallowell, Maine State Police said Thursday.
The accident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on Windsor Street when the car driven by Denny Johnson, 26, of Randolph went off the road and struck a tree, according to state police spokesman Stephen McCausland.The passenger, Nicholas Grant, 19, was killed.
Johnson was listed in serious condition at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
