WARREN – A vehicle landed in a Route 1 ditch Wednesday when the driver was distracted while “playing with the radio,” according to a police report.

Heather J. Dakin, 20, of Warren was uninjured in the mishap, but her 1998 Oldsmobile sedan sustained $6,000 in damage. Dakin was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report filed by Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Corey Dodge, and both air bags opened.

Warren Rescue and Fire personnel responded to the 8:09 a.m. accident.
