ORONO – George Keefe’s two-out single plated pinch-runner Ryan Brown in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday, lifting Orono to a 7-6 Zone 1 American Legion baseball victory over Sebasticook.

Brad Goody singled twice, once in the pivotal seventh. Brown ran for Goody and, after Todd Ellis was hit by a pitch, Nick Aucoin moved the runners to second and third with a sacrifice. Brown then scored on Keefe’s single.

Chris Rand finished with two doubles, two singles and two RBIs. Keefe had three singles and Bo Thomas singled twice.

Phil Hendricks led the Storm with two singles and a double. Justin Veazie added a double and a single. Ryan Kennedy and Seth Bradstreet each singled twice.

At Heddericg Field in Brewer, Ben Quimby pitched 1 2/3 innings of no-hit relief, striking out three, to help the Falcons beat the Acadians.

Jason Harvey sparked Brewer with a double, two singles and two RBIs. Abram Allard provided a run-scoring single.

Chris Sargent and B.J. Greenleaf stroked RBI doubles for Trenton. Brandon Colbeth plated a run with a single.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Nick Arthers smacked a two-run home run, a double and two singles to lead Waldo to victory.

Devin Potvin hit a two-run homer and a double behind winner Pasco Grove scattered nine hits, struck out nine and hit a solo homer.

Seth Strout doubled and singled with an RBI to pace Penquis. Adam Russell singled twice (1 RBI). Loser Jason Weymouth hit a three-run homer and James Gray belted a two-run shot.

At Calais, Joe Footer nailed an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to put Calais up by a run and give them the margin of victory.

Footer also added a two-run home run and two doubles. James Ramsdell and Chad Pike contributed two singles each.

Scott Flannery pounded out two singles, a double and a triple to lead Lincoln. Matt Malone stroked a two-run homer.

At Bangor, James Strout pounded out five singles for three RBIs to help lead Brewer to the win.

Aaron Largay hit a three-run home run and a single while Pat Estes added a two-run homer and an RBI single.

Jimmy Alexander had a triple, a single and an RBI for Bangor while Eric Conway chipped in with two singles.
