BUCKSPORT – Dana Green of Bucksport has been presented the University of Maine at Farmington’s Alumni Achievement Award. The award was presented in June at the annual alumni awards ceremony. The award honors a UMF graduate who has achieved distinction in that graduate’s field.

BUCKSPORT – Dana Green of Bucksport has been presented the University of Maine at Farmington’s Alumni Achievement Award.

The award was presented in June at the annual alumni awards ceremony. The award honors a UMF graduate who has achieved distinction in that graduate’s field.

Green has gained national recognition for his work as a physician assistant specializing in diabetes care. He has an active practice affiliated with Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He is a frequent author and conference speaker.

The recipient graduated from UMF in 1976 and earned a medical degree from Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia in 1996. Green served with the U.S. Public Health Service in Van Buren.
