CALAIS – Michael Michaud, Democratic candidate for the 2nd Congressional District seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. John Baldacci, will hear Monday from a panel of law enforcement, education and health officials about the problem of drug abuse in Washington County.

The discussion will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Calais High School cafeteria.

The purpose of the meeting is to give the public an opportunity to discuss experiences, concerns and suggestions for remedying the situation.

The public is invited.
