To comment on your July 22 front page story of the guns and explosions in the Dover-Foxcroft gravel pit: What did I miss? I could have been there hanging onto my ears and brushing the dust from my eyes, and I was in church. And I was singing. Who would want to sing when they could listen to the beautiful hum of machine guns and delightful bangs of dynamite?
My five grown sons were all in church too – teaching Sunday school, leading a choir and the youngest preaching. Some also spent part of the day visiting by the lake. Guess we just don’t know where it’s art.
