ANAHEIM, Calif. – Left wing Paul Kariya, a six-time NHL All-Star, accepted the Anaheim Mighty Ducks’ $10 million qualifying offer for next season on Wednesday.
Kariya, 27, led the Ducks last season with 32 goals and 57 points. He is the team’s all-time leader in 10 categories including games (524), goals (275), assists (313) and game-winning goals (42).
“One year at a time at this point is something I feel comfortable with,” Kariya said during a conference call. “What it does is put pressure on both myself and the team to continue going in the right direction and for myself to get back playing at the top of my game.”
