Averill High School

HINCKLEY – Raymond Shultz Jr., Joe Gallagher and Joshua Parker, who have roots in Bangor, graduated recently.

Shultz was active in the campus athletic program. He plans to attend Kennebec Valley Technical College in the fall.

Gallagher, an honor student and athlete, plans to move to Arizona and pursue a career in music.

Parker has been a participant aboard the Lettie G. Howard as part of the Experience at Sea program. He will attend Washington County Technical Institute to study culinary arts.

Bangor High School

Chris Zielinski, a recent graduate, was selected by the New England Camera Council to attend the annual conference held July 12-14 at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

The council recognized his skills and interest when selecting him from high school candidates throughout New England.

The Eastern Maine Camera Club sponsored Zielinski’s application. He will attend Plymouth College in the fall to study meteorology.

BANGOR – The All Sports Athletics Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, in the ROTC room. The agenda includes fund raising and spending. For information, call Neal McCrum at 947-8565 or Alan Dall at 942-5610.

TROY, N.Y. – Christina Shields was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester.
