We live in an area where the economy is not good and people are going out of business. I call it the third Maine.
Recently, we have had something beautiful happen in our community. The Patten Women’s Club and others in the town, under the leadership of Eve Rice, who is president of the club, have worked on our little local park. They have added 13 flower beds along with cleaning up the area on the site where Patten Academy once stood.
If you travel Route 11 please glance to your left before leaving town, going north, and look at that beautiful scene. Thanks to all who worked so hard.
