EASTON – The first pupil day for Easton schools will be Tuesday, Aug. 13.

New pupils may register from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5 to Friday, Aug. 9, for the following grades at the respective locations:

Early childhood program (pre-kindergarten) to grade six at the elementary school.

Grades seven to 12 at the junior-senior high school.

A workshop for teachers will start at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at the elementary school cafeteria.

The buses will begin on the fall schedule, leaving from the schools between 6:45 and 7 a.m. The following drivers will cover a particular area:

Terry Clark – Houlton Road

Larry Sullivan -Pine Tree

Bill Page – River de Chute

After covering their areas, the drivers will return to the schools.

Beginning the first day of school, hot lunches will be available for $1.25 at the elementary school and $1.50 at the junior-senior high school. Reduced priced meals are 40 cents for all qualifying pupils at both schools. Breakfast will continue to be offered to all pupils for 75 cents. Reduced-priced breakfasts will be 30 cents for qualifying pupils. Applications for free and reduced meals will be distributed the first week of school.
