NORTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – An Auburn woman was killed Monday in a one-car accident on a Canadian highway.

Canadian police said Ann Marsden, 53, was killed at about 11:15 a.m. after she lost control of her Jeep Cherokee on Highway 417, an hour east of Ottawa.

Police said they don’t think Marsden was wearing a seat belt, and that she was ejected when the car rolled over several times.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Marsden’s husband, their 17-year-old daughter, Heather, and her friend Jessica Berry were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. Jackie Berry, Jessica’s twin sister, was airlifted to another hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
