I have a 15-year-old who recently signed up for MSN messenger. This is the first time she has been allowed online with the exception of school use.

She brought to my attention her “Junk Mail” section; she was receiving some bad emails. She had 72 emails in the “Junk” section and over half of them were pornography.

Then I remembered the Supreme Court decision that said virtual child pornography was essentially okay. Although I have no idea whether or not the predator who took Samantha Runnion was an avid participant in child pornography, I do believe that these allowances to the depraved world of pornography play a large role in the current crimes happening against our children in this nation. The Internet is supposed to be a road to the future, it has turned into a back alley to Hell.

Basic Internet service should be PG-13, not X rated. I also want the “spammers” of the perverted emails to be punished and the owner of the site painfully fined.

I am talking about the rights of normal decent citizens to have a porn-free Internet unless you choose to subscribe. And the rights of our children to have some innocence as they grow up. And the rights of our littlest children, not to be thought of as objects by perverts, whether in cartoon, virtual, or realistic ways on the Internet.
