MILLINOCKET – The Millinocket Regional Hospital’s board of trustees announced Monday that Richard Waller, chief executive officer of the hospital, has resigned.

Waller had held the position for three years and the hospital will conduct a national search for a new CEO. Marie Vienneau, the chief operating officer and chief nursing officer, has been named interim CEO.

Board president E. Bart Harvey said in a prepared statement that Vienneau’s experience would minimize disruptions from the change at the hospital.
