CAMDEN – The harbor master’s building on the town landing was burglarized sometime Wednesday night or early Thursday, police said.

Sgt. Mike Geary said entrance was gained by smashing a window. Stolen were six hand-held marine radios valued at a combined $718. Geary said the break-in probably occurred after 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, when an officer last checked the building, and 7:25 a.m., when it was opened.

The department has been paying particular attention to the town landing in recent weeks since a rash of complaints about public behavior there. “We’ve been practically living down there,” Geary said.
