Sandra Piechocki

Storyteller

Sandra Piechocki is an actress, storyteller, writer, and “accidental historian” who received a grant from the Maine Arts Commission to develop “At Home, At Sea,” the story of young Joanna Colcord of Searsport, Maine. Sandra has worked with the Penobscot Marine Museum to research and present Joanna’s story, a tale she came to know through articles and books.

Tony Sohns

Natural history educator

Tony Sohns is a natural history educator from Bucksport, Maine. “Bug Zoo” originated at the University of Oregon while he was studying entomology and creating outreach programs for the Eugene school system. Tony has delighted children and adults with his programs and collections in schools, museums and fairs throughout central Maine.

Music duo

Jay is 12 years old and started playing the fiddle when he was 7. Shane is 10 years old and has been playing the guitar for about three years. For the past two years they have performed together at many events, including the Maine Festival; the Maine Pioneers of Country Music as “Future Pioneers”; Weeks Mills in Music; and the Country Jamboree in Portland, opening for the Don Campbell Band. They have played at many local events, benefits and fiddle contests. The Smith Brothers live with their parents in Industry, Maine.
