Brown 2nd in Hershey’s standing long jump

Julie Brown of Presque Isle finished second in the standing long jump in the 9-10-years-old girls division of the Hershey’s Track and Field North American Final in Hershey, Pa.

Brown’s jumped 6-101/4 in the meet held last weekend. Also competing at the meet were Lauren Maltz from Hampden who finished seventh in the 200 meter dash in the 13-14 year old girls division. Fort Fairfield’s Hillary McNamee placed third in the 11-12 girls standing long jump with a 7-103/4 jump. Ryan Thibeau of Presque Isle earned seventh for the 9-10 boys standing long jump with a jump of 6-61/4. Brunswick’s Ethan Ford placed third in the 9-10 boys 200 meter with a time of 30.8529.
