PRESQUE ISLE – McCain Foods has named two Mars Hill men McCain Foods Champion Potato Growers for Aroostook County for the fifth time.

Brian and Breen Bell and other top 10 growers were recognized at a barbecue last week at the Presque Isle Forum. They were awarded a trophy and an all-expenses-paid week’s holiday for two.

To determine the top 10 growers, McCain Foods monitors the processing quality of potatoes delivered to the factory and samples are tested for size, defect level and color.
