OLD TOWN – The Penobscot County Master Gardeners announced its first annual Garden Gathering: A Harvest of Fertile Ideas will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Rogers Farm Demonstration Gardens.

The event will feature workshops for gardeners, speakers, demonstrations and children’s activities such as face painting and puppet shows.

All workshops are free and open to the public.
