CALAIS – A Calais High School graduate has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

Andrew Quigley Adams, son of William and Donna Adams of Calais, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., on June 1.

After graduating from high school in 1998, Adams concentrated in mechanical engineering at West Point. Upon completion of their courses, cadets are commissioned officers.
