BANGOR – Eastern Maine Medical Center, Rosscare, Bangor Area Visiting Nurses/Hospice of Eastern Maine and New Hope Hospice will sponsor a session on advanced planning for the end of life, 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Center for Family Business on the Husson College campus.

The workshop will focus on advanced directives and health care power of attorney: what they are, what they can and cannot do, how to set one up, what to do with it once you have one, and what can happen when they are not in place early enough. The presenter is Leigh McCarthy, Esquire, Rudman and Winchell. The public is invited.
