In regard to Emmet Meara’s column of Aug. 17-18, thank you for some relief from the Elvis madness. I didn’t care for Elvis. The colonel did a great job of promoting a mediocre talent.

TV Guide must have tunnel vision to name him the greatest entertainer ever. Thank goodness, last week is over.
