Fort Fairfield tops Hodgdon

FORT FAIRFIELD – Ryan Helstrom’s goal with 2:10 left in the game helped give the Fort Fairfield Tigers a 3-1 schoolboy soccer victory over the Hodgdon Hawks Thursday.

Kris Osgood scored Fort Fairfield’s first goal and Mickey Browning scored their third goal on an assist from Jesse Sayers with 1:30 left in the game.

Tyler Bernaiche made three saves on eight shots for 2-0 Fort Fairfield.

Tyler Hutchinson scored Hodgdon’s only goal. Matt Hanning saved 11 of 21 shots for the 0-3-1 Hawks.

Caribou 1, Houlton 0

At Caribou, David Levasseur scored an unassisted goal with 25 minutes remaining in the second half to give Caribou the victory.

Micah Maurio stopped all six shots he saw for 1-0 Caribou.

Eric O’Connell saved 31 of 32 shots for 0-2-1 Houlton.
