Kudos to the National Folk Festival committee and the city of Bangor! When you live in Millinocket and cultural events are rare, it was a wonderful time that my husband and I spent on Saturday. Even with the two-hour traffic jam on the highway, it was well worth the wait.

A few suggestions for next year: Have more food vendors (the lines were too long); bring more Porta-Potties; and ban all dogs. I’m a dog lover, but they don’t belong there unless they are service dogs.
