Trial lawyer N. Laurence Willey Jr. has been awarded recertification as a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. NBTA requires recertification every five years. Willey is one of seven Board Certified Trial Lawyers in Maine and has been appointed as Maine’s representative to the NBTA. Willey is a former Bangor mayor and past president of the Penobscot County Bar Association. He is the senior partner in Willey Law Offices located in Bangor and Ellsworth. He resides in Bangor with his wife and children.

Goodwill Industries of Northern New England recently elected Ken Hews of Holden as a new member of the board of directors for fiscal year 2002-03. Hews is an executive vice president at Eastern Maine Healthcare.
