BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Tara Bedard’s goal at 58:12 lifted the University of Maine to a 2-1 women’s field hockey victory over Indiana University Tuesday.

Kristy Ferran assisted on the game-winning goal as Maine improved to 2-1 over 1-1 Indiana University.

Karyn Magno scored Maine’s first goal off a corner with assists going to Bedard and Arnie Dubois. Jaye Lance stopped nine shots for the win.

Lesley Wilder scored an unassisted goal for Indiana while Molly Pulkrabek made six saves in net.
