DOVER-FOXCROFT – Mayo Regional Hospital will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in several ways next Wednesday.

The volunteer office will have red-white-and-blue lapel ribbons available for staff and visitors to wear on that date, and a brief PowerPoint slide presentation on the events of Sept. 11 will run throughout that day in the Borestone conference room. People are encouraged to take a few moments to view those images.

Mayo will observe a moment of silence at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 11, at approximately the time the World Trade Center towers collapsed. Also at that time, at the hospital flagpole, Mayo’s chaplain, the Rev. Ken Dale, will lead hospital employees and community members in prayer. The prayer will be held in the hospital lobby in case of rain.
