The issue of a casino in southern Maine seems to be a football, bouncing back and forth going nowhere.

Maybe the Penobscot and Passamaquoddy tribes should look toward the “other Maine” such as [the former] Loring [Air Force Base], which has lots of room for expansion, a motel, plus many other buildings that could be converted to guest accommodations. There are a lot of recreation facilities in the area as well.

The Trans-Canada Highway is within five or six miles away and being expanded to four lanes. And Interstate 95 is supposed to be expanding north in the near future.

Senior citizens also could have their prescriptions filled in Canada cheaply, which would give them more money to play the slots.
