BANGOR – The public is invited to talks and discussion with Jehovah’s Witnesses from northern and central Maine as they gather this month at the Bangor Auditorium.

Witnesses from northern Maine, which includes an area stretching as far south as Belfast, will meet Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14-15; Witnesses from central Maine, which includes Knox County and points west, will meet Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21-22.

The programs are identical both weekends. Known as “circuit assemblies,” the programs are designed “to help Christians to trust in God in all aspects of life,” the Witnesses said in a news release. Sessions begin at 9:45 a.m. and conclude at 3:55 p.m. each day.

While the public is invited to all sessions on both weekends, a talk at 1:30 p.m. both Sundays is aimed at the public and is titled “Deliverance from World Distress is Near.”

The Witnesses said no admission is charged and no collections are taken.
