AUGUSTA – A statewide voter registration drive will be held during the week of Sept. 16. Many businesses and organizations will be conducting drives at sites throughout the state and providing Mainers with an opportunity to register to vote or to update their voter registration information in a nontraditional location.

As part of this effort, local members of the Maine Town and City Clerks Association will hold a voter registration drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Maine Mall in South Portland.

The statewide voter registration drive is just one of many activities planned by the Promote the Vote Committee for this election cycle.
