Thibodeau nips Fuller at Unity Raceway

UNITY – Pat Thibodeau of Winterport dueled with and eventually edged Albion’s Dean Fuller to earn a Pro Stock win at Unity Raceway Saturday night.

Fuller took second in the feature event. Steve Nelson of Albion came in third. Thorndike’s Bub Raven was fourth and Matt Lee of Albion finished fifth.

Burgess works his way to win

At Wiscasset Speedway Saturday, Oakland’s Jeff Burgess took advantage of some timely caution flags to pick his way through the field for a pro stock feature win.

Topsham’s Bill Wharff Jr. finished in second place. Charlie Colby of Newcastle was third and Clinton’s Mark Watson took fourth. Peter Oakes of Boothbay was fifth but sealed the series championship.

Ryder earns career victory

At Speedway 95 in Hermon Sunday, Ted Ryder of Newburgh took advantage of a late caution to regain a lead he lost earlier to post his first career Little Enduro win.

Ellsworth’s Bob Merchant finished in second place, followed by Aaron Bragg of Bangor in third and Hancock’s Fred Ashmore in fourth. Scott Coffin of Carmel came in fifth.

Johnson takes drag race

At Winterport Dragway Saturday, Mike Johnson of Stockton Springs was the winner of the drag race at the track’s Fall Car Show and Drag Race.

Bucksport’s Marc Davenport was second. Linda Fuller of Old Town and Harmony’s Barney Ryan were semifinalists.
