Candidates to meet public at breakfast

BANGOR – The Maine Development Foundation will hold its annual meeting combined with a gubernatorial candidates forum from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at the Bangor Civic Center. The event is co-hosted by the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce.

The gubernatorial candidates forum will be moderated by Maine PBS host Don Carrigan and is slated to feature Democratic candidate John Baldacci; Green party candidate Jonathan Carter; Republican candidate Peter Cianchette; and independent candidate John Michael. The forum will seek candidates’ responses to economic issues including tax structure, health care, transportation and postsecondary education attainment.

The meeting is open to the public. The cost is $10 and includes breakfast. Make checks payable to Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce and mail to P.O. Box 1443, Bangor 04401.
