BANGOR – The Bangor Museum and Center for History is wasting no time in making use of its second site at 6 State St.

The museum will hold an indoor-outdoor event on fly-fishing at 6 tonight.

Officials said the activity would interest anyone who likes history, fishing, downtown, the Bangor museum, or any combination thereof.

The list of experts and aficionados who will be on hand includes Charles Colburne, Andy Goode, Steve Campbell, Ron Newcombe, Art Taylor, Rick Warren and Kelly Cotiaux.

It’s all about fly-fishing in the Penobscot region.

There will be demonstrations, exhibits and discussion on the history and use of vintage tackle, the Thomas Fly Rod Co., favorite flies that local fly tiers use, and the impact of salmon fishing on the region.

Admission is $7.50 for adults, free to children 18 and under. Appraisals will be done in return for a $5 donation to the museum.

For information, call 942-5766 or 990-1900. Tickets will be available at the door.
