Sales of 2003 calendars to aid Veazie projects

VEAZIE – Community birthday calendars for the year 2003 are being sold by members of the Veazie Garden Club. For $5, residents may purchase a calendar and list up to four family members’ birthdays or anniversaries. Additional listings are 50 cents each. Businesses may purchase display ads on the calendar for $35.

The community calendars are the garden club’s largest fund-raiser of the year. The proceeds from the calendar benefit many community projects, including the large planters in the school’s foyer, the flower boxes at the cemetery and on the town signs, the “triangle” at the intersection of Main Street and Route 2 and the annual Community Improvement Award.
