Talking about rape

It takes courage for someone to report being sexually assaulted. It takes courage to go through the rape protocol exam. It takes courage to relive the sexual assault every time the incident is described to medical, law enforcement or judicial personnel. It takes courage to endure the inevitable victim blaming that occurs when the crime of sexual assault is reported. It takes courage for the victim/survivor to face the reality that the sexual assault has changed her or his life forever.

Rape Response Services supports the right of anyone who has been sexually assaulted to talk about the trauma and to be believed.
