MADAWASKA – The administration and staff of Madawaska Middle-High School will hold an open house for parents from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.

The purpose of the open house is to introduce the school’s newly implemented Learning Results Standards Handbooks to the community.

The state’s educational standards are called Maine’s Learning Results, which challenge communities, schools and teachers to work to implement effective instructional strategies to achieve high expectations for all students.

The Madawaska High Middle-High School staff drafted documents aligned to state standards during the previous school year.

A spaghetti supper to benefit the middle school student leadership team will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are available from student team members and at the school office. Tickets are $3 for individuals and $10 for a family. For more information call 728-3371.
