NEW YORK – Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and New York Gov. George Pataki and his wife were hosts for a re-election campaign fund-raiser Monday for U.S. Sen. Susan Collins. First lady Laura Bush also attended the fund-raiser in Manhattan.

Giuliani came to Maine in July to speak at a fund-raising reception for Collins in Cape Elizabeth. Since then, he has taped radio ads promoting Collins’ candidacy.

Collins is being challenged by Democrat Chellie Pingree in November’s election.
