I am opposed to changing the Defense Department to the Offense Department. Our past foreign policy activities have, evidently, offended more than enough.

The $60 billion estimate for the battle to defeat Saddam Hussein, would buy a lot of security equipment and manpower and pay for a lot more intelligence analysts to keep America safe and secure.

If such sums of money are going to the Defense Department, let’s use them to defend America. Let’s focus our defense budget on defending the “homeland.”
