WASHINGTON – Fifteen more fire departments in Maine are among a group of 487 selected nationwide to benefit from round seven of Assistance for Firefighters Program funding, according to Maine’s congressional delegation.
Thus far, 45 fire departments in Maine have been awarded grants from the U.S. Fire Administration, a subdivision of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Funding will be used to support training programs, equipment purchases and fire prevention initiatives.
The Maine communities awarded grants in the latest round of funding are:
