CASTINE – The Terriers jumped out to a 2-0 Thursday and held on to edge the Mariners.

Ben Wheeler scored and assisted on Dan Burdin’s for 4-6 Thomas College of Waterville.

Ryan Buttice also picked up an assist and Ryan Conley made five saves on 21 shots.

Derek Wilding scored on a penalty kick for 1-8 Maine Maritime while Dan Leobel stopped five of 11 shots.

St. Joseph’s 1, Southern Maine 0

At Gorham, freshman forward Joe Valente scored early in the second half to give 4-6-1 St. Joseph’s the win.

Dan Hills faced eight shots and stopped four for the Huskies of Standish.

Jeff Yaeger made three saves on four shots for 3-6-2 University of Southern Maine.

UMPI 8, N.B. Bible Institute 0

At Presque Isle, Jamie Brewer, Travis Frost and Mike Lane each scored two goals to lead the UM-Presque Isle to the win.

Jay Johnson had a goal and an assist while Dan Casavant added a goal. Matt Watson made two saves on four shots for the Owls.

Ray Gelo faced 25 shots and stopped 12 for New Brunswick Bible Institute.

Colby 2, UM-Farmington 0

At Waterville, senior forward Jamie Yurek scored with an assist from Ryan Boccuzzi as the White Mules downed the Beavers.

Zach Shull scored the first goal unassisted for 5-4 Colby while Andrew Danzinger made eight saves on 12 shots.

Ryan Hersey faced 12 shots for 5-4 UM-Farmington and stopped five.

Women’s Soccer

Colby 3, St. Joseph’s 0

At Windham, Christine O’Donnell scored all three of Colby’s goals, two unassisted, to give the White Mules the win.

Stephanie Hicks recorded an assist while Elizabeth Riley and Ashley Harris combined to stop all three shots they faced..

Cheryl Northrup faced 15 shots and stopped nine for St. Joseph’s of Standish.
