Man faces cocaine, weapons charges

BANGOR -An Augusta man has been indicted by a federal grand jury sitting in Bangor on three counts related to illegal drug trafficking and weapons violations.

Roy Dubreil, 37, is released on bail. He is charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, one count of possession of a stolen firearm and one count of possession of a sawed-off rifle. If convicted, he faces the possibility of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine on the cocaine count and 10 years and a $250,000 fine on the two alleged weapons violations. The alleged offenses occurred between Aug. 2, 2001, and Oct. 14, 2001. The indictment was handed up Oct. 9 from U.S. District Court in Bangor.

Also indicted were:

. Tracy Lynn Nelson, also known as Tracy Lynn MacDonald, 33, Maryland, charged with one count of making a false statement to a member of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service in Maine. The offense reportedly occurred on Sept. 27 in Washington County. If convicted, she faces the possibility of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both. She is released on bail.

. Baron Thompson, 25, Augusta, is charged with two counts of making a false statement in acquisition of a firearm. The offenses allegedly occurred on Aug. 18, 2001, and Aug. 21, 2001. If convicted, he faces the possibility of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both.

. John Jackson, age and address unknown, charged with one count of making a false statement in the acquisition of a firearm. The offense allegedly occurred on or about July 14, 2001, in Kennebec County. If convicted, he faces the possibility of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both. He is released on bail.

Charles Thomas Rosart Jr., 48, Ontario, charged with one count of re-entry into the United States after exclusion. If convicted, he faces the possibility of two years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both. The offense allegedly occurred in Washington County. He is in federal custody.
