Speed factor in death of cyclist, 66, in Gray

GRAY – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday when his bike went off the road in front of his house and hit a tree, state police said.

William Anketell, 66, was dead at the scene of the 11:10 a.m. accident. Anketell was riding too fast around a curve on the Town Farm Road and veered into the oncoming traffic lane and into the left shoulder before hitting the tree, police said.
