Aaron Stepka

WATERVILLE – Aaron Stepka of Colby College was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after carrying 43 times for 230 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 19-14 loss at Bates The sophomore halfback has rushed for 994 yards this season.

Stefanie Hannan

Stefanie Hannan of the University of Maine-Machias has been named the Webber Energy/Sunrise Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The sophomore midfielder from Pittsburgh posted three goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for the Clippers.

Noreen Marcino

Noreen Marcino of the University of Maine-Presque Isle has been selected as the Webber Energy/Sunrise Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The sophomore goalkeeper from Monroe Township, N.J., shut out UMaine-Fort Kent in her final regular-season contest.

Ryan Hersey

Ryan Hersey of the University of Maine-Farmington came away with the honor as the Webber Energy/Sunrise Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The senior keeper from Farmington stopped a penalty kick to preserve a shutout victory against Thomas.

Karly Bundy

Karly Bundy of the University of Maine has been chosen the America East women’s soccer Player of the week. The senior from Kennebunk scored game-winning goals against Albany and Vermont and also added an assist.

Chad Mongeon

Chad Mongeon of the University of Maine was selected the co-recipient of the America East men’s soccer Rookie of the Week. The goalkeeper from Essex Junction, Vt., made four saves in his second career start to help the Black Bears earn their first league victory.
