November activities to highlight hospice

CALAIS – Down East Hospice has scheduled several activities for November as part of National Hospice Month.

. All month, Shop ‘n Save stores in Calais and Machias will highlight Down East Hospice on its kiosk displays. Information about the hospice program will be available and donations will be accepted.

. A lasagna dinner is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the First Congregational Church in Calais. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children, with a maximum of $15 per family.

. A family concert is planned from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Centre Street Congregational Church in Machias. The Joyful Trio and the Washington County Children’s Chorus will perform. Donations will be accepted to benefit the hospice.
